Grief Recovery Outreach Program

Moving beyond death, divorce and other losses. People say you must let go and move on in your life, but they don’t tell you what you need to do to accomplish that. The Grief Recovery Outreach Program not only makes that possible but provides partnerships and guidance to ensure that it happens. This 9-week group program is offered 4 times a year. One on one sessions are available. Contact parishioner Celynn McClarrinon, LSW, Certified Grief Recovery Specialist.

Habitat for Humanity

An ecumenical, grass roots organization with the goal of eliminating poverty housing. It helps to build or renovate houses with as much volunteer labor and donated materials as possible. The home is sold to a family in need of decent housing, at no profit and no interest. The cost of the home is repaid over a fixed period of years; these house payments are recycled to build more homes. Habitats solution to low-income housing emphasizes partnership and participation. The homeowners are required to participate in the construction of their own home and to help other prospective homeowners work on their homes. We invite parishioners to join work parties at Habitat sites. The parties meet and conduct an on-site workday monthly.
