Lent 2022

Who Are We When We Know We Belong To Jesus?

Tuesday, April 5 – Hebrews 3:13-14

“Encourage yourselves daily while it is still ‘today,’ so that none of you may grow hardened by the deceit of sin. We have become partners of Christ if only we hold the beginning of the reality firm until the end.”

Wednesday, April 6 – Hebrews 12:1-3

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God. Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart.”

Thursday, April 7 – Psalm 138:8

“The Lord is with me to the end. Lord, your mercy endures forever. Never forsake the work of your hands!”

Friday, April 8 – Phil. 2:12-15

“So then, my beloved, obedient as you have always been, not only when I am present but all the more now when I am absent, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For God is the one who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work. Do everything without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine like lights in the world.”

Saturday, April 9 – Eph. 3:7

“Of this I became a minister by the gift of God’s grace that was granted me in accord with the exercise of his power.”

Sunday, April 10 – 2 Tim. 3:16&17

“All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”
